American Group eBay announced Friday it has completed the sale of 70% stake in Skype for $ 2 billion, a group of investors that includes the two founders of internet telephony system.
eBay, which will keep a stake of 30% in the group will receive 1.9 billion U.S. dollars in cash and then another 125 million U.S. dollars, according to a release of the group.
Skype transaction group evaluates approximately 2.8 billion U.S. dollars.
Following the sale, 56% interest in Skype will be held by a group of investors, including funds include Silver Lake Partners and Andreesen Horowitz and Investment Bureau of the pension in Canada (CPPIB).
The remaining 14% will return the two founders of Skype, Janus

eBay announced in early September it would sell 65% of Skype, a company taken over four years ago from the two founders, for 3.1 billion U.S. dollars.
